Missing something....

So, I don't know why I decided to go back to school. Well, actually, I do know why but at the moment it seems like a silly reason when I have a test and 2 quizes on Friday. Something about getting the job I want and being able to earn a living instead of being one of those looser that lives in her Mom's basement until she finally saves up enough to buy her Mom's house and ship Mom off to a nursing home.

N-E-ways, I'm really just wasting time blogging instead of studying for a Biology midterm, Pre-Calc quiz, and World Religions quiz which I have on Friday. I only have 3 more chapters to read and a whole lot of memorization to accomplish btwn now and then. (Not to mention the 2 labs I have to do tomorrow, which seriously hinder my studying time.)

Life in Hawaii is both better now and worse. I'm getting used to the heat (which isn't really hot compared to summer in Cali) and the humidity. I get a great workout everyday as I hike to and from school with a full backpack. I've learned a few things about cooking for myself. Plus, I get to drive a giant van that I would be required to get a separate license to drive back home in Cali.

But I still miss home. Perhaps its b/c Jason isn't here. Maybe it's due to my two best friends being in different time zones which makes it hard to talk. Or just maybe it's the complete lack of color in this apartment. I mean, my goodness! Even in mental institutions the patients get some color on their walls! Everything in here is freaking off white!! Back home I had a beautiful green room. So, I have compromised. I can't paint the walls, but I can add other things with color. A bright green bedspread my mom made me, a bright red body pillow to keep my back in line, and blue window curtains. It's not much, but it's better than this drab off white. Eventually, I hope to add pictures to my walls and closet doors. Any ideas, or pictures of friends to post up, would be greatly appreciated!
